A fun workshop introducing you to Glass Fusing.
No experience necessary, all materials supplied.
10.30 am to 1 pm
Fisherton Mill, Salisbury – see the Workshop page for map and directions.
During the session you will look at the process of kiln-formed glass and learn techniques to enable you to make your own unique fused glass pieces.
The morning will start with an introduction to the different kinds of glass we will be working with, some practice using the tools and how to cut glass (if needed) – all very easy!
Create your own designs or use Linda’s templates and pre-cut pieces. Incorporate, glass beads, powders, coloured glass and metals for different effects. You will make at least 2 designs during the session, a small sun catcher to learn the fusing process and a larger piece, choose from a coaster a trinket dish or a picture.
At the end of the day, your designs will be put into the kiln to be fired and will be ready for collection/posting in 4/5 days (small charge for posting) This covers the cost of all materials, firing and gluing your projects.
This class is great for beginners and those who have worked with glass before.
